Greensward Academy has an outstanding History Department with excellent exam results and student uptake of this subject. History is one of the largest optional subjects at KS4 with over 140 students in each year group. There are two separate teaching groups in Years 12 and 13. Greensward Academy is committed to wider history and history curriculum and runs trips to Berlin, Moscow and Krakow. We have two thriving history societies which meet weekly; one is led by the 6th form students. With over 30 members, the societies provide personally researched, engaging presentations, and we have arranged and run several additional trips and visits.
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional classroom teacher who demonstrates high standards of delivery in a consistent manner, who is committed to improving achievement across all key stages and who understands the strategies required to accomplish this. The right candidate must be a strong leader with the ability to inspire both staff and students.
